<p class="MsoNormal"><strong>We’re jumping in the lake for Age UK!</strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">As everyone knows, swimming is great for keeping you looking young and fit. That’s why we couldn’t resist the allure of the 24<sup>th</sup> Internationale Self-Transcendence Marathon Swim across Lake Zurich.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">On 7 August we’re hoping to transcend our advanced years and swim our way to dewy youthfulness, in aid of Age UK’s 'Ageing Better Together' campaign to promote a happier healthier old age. We’ll be hobbling down to the water’s edge at 7am, then taking hourly turns to swim 26.4km across the lake. Some time later (around 11.5 hours) we will skip joyfully ashore glowing with youthful vitality.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">And if all else fails and the stress speeds us to a premature old age, we hope we will have raised sufficient funds for Age UK to pay for our care and support.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Here are some ways Age UK might use your money:</p>

<p class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt;">£14 would buy door chains to protect seven vulnerable older people.</span></p>

<p class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt;">£24 could pay for an emergency food pack and a hot meal for an older person trapped in their home by extreme weather.</span></p>
