On 26 October David Evans, Kevin Povey and Ron Rhodes from Balfour Beatty Education start the challenging mountain trek that circuits the sacred Annapurna peaks in Nepal’s Himalaya. They will walk 118 miles over 19 days, reach a height of 17,769ft crossing the famous Thorung La Pass, pass through the world’s deepest gorge and detour to base camp. At this height you have half the normal oxygen to breath and altitude sickness presents very real challenges.
3 years ago after completing the trek to summit Kala Pattar above Everest Base Camp, David, Kevin and Ron encouraged the sherpas to see their futures in their own trekking company.
