Fundraising for Beads of Courage UK
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am hoping you will sponsor me to cut my hair. I am raising money on behalf of our friends: Angela and Steve (mum went to school with Angela). Their daughter, Eilish sadly died at the age of 4 and a half from cancer.
Please read below a message from Eilish's mum and dad about the Beads of Courage and what it meant to them all:
During Eilish’s year long battle with cancer she took great pleasure from the Beads of Courage programme, which is run in the UK by Be Child Cancer Aware. The Beads recognise and celebrate the bravery of child cancer sufferers. The children collect beads for every medical event that takes place such as Surgeries, Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy, CT Scans, MRI Scans, X-Rays, Fevers, Neutropenic episodes, Infusions, Blood Transfusions, Overnight Stays, Oxygen Assistance, Ambulance Transfers and on and on. In just one year Eilish collected nearly 1000 beads.
Please give what you can to support me to be brave enough to cut off my hair! It will be donated to The Little Princess charity which makes wigs for child cancer sufferes who have lost their hair during treatment. Harry Styles & Jessie J both also cut their hair to support this charity.
