NO MEAN FEAT
This time round I thought I’d try a bit harder than a simple marathon, so in March I’m undertaking the 3 week overland trek setting off from the Kathmandu Valley Nepal, heading north up to the foothills of the Himalayas. Gradually ascending up to the lower Tibetan plateau, eventually arriving at the Base Camp of the mighty Mount Everest at 5400 metres almost three and a half miles above sea level.
WHO WILL BENEFIT
Multiple Sclerosis is a very debilitating and unpredictable disease of the nervous System, affecting people in different ways and of different ages. The Hertfordshire MS Therapy Centre offers a number of different therapies such as: Oxygen Therapy, Physiotherapy, Counselling Support, Nutrition Advise, Yoga, Massage Therapy and Reflexology as well as a place to meet with others who have MS. Over 7000 therapies were delivered last year. Our aim, with your help is to increase this year by year.
WHY THE CENTRE NEEDS HELP
The Centre is entirely self funding. We do not receive any funding from Government, the Health Service or any statutory body. As our running cost are over £300,000 per year we rely on our own fundraising efforts and the generosity of many local companies and individuals, service clubs and charitable trusts for support.
HOW TO DONATE
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
