In February 2009, we are planning an unsupported (normally treks are supported by sherpas and porters who set up camp, prepare meals and carry the bulk of the kit . We will be completely unsupported, carrying all the kit needed for the duration) 3 week trek to the base camp of Mount Everest via the summit of Kala Pattar and are looking to raise money in aid of the Help For Heroes charity, supporting those injured whilst serving in Britains' Armed Forces.
The majority of the members on the team are in the Army and have completed tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan so this cause is very close to us all. We also have friends currently serving in the countries affected by the conflicts.
