Troops!

Right, believe it or not, I am running the half marathon in the Great Scottish Run in September. The training has not quite started in earnest yet (I am getting tore into a Dominos as I type this), but I promise I will be hitting the gym and gubbing raw eggs as of tomorrow. Honestly.

The fine people I am tormenting myself for go by the name of Visibility. They are an amazing charity that run loads of social and educational activities to support blind people in Scotland. Any money you tightwads cough up will be well spent (take it from me... I've audited them).

I am actually quite looking forward to this. Not only is the thought of doing some Rocky-style training surely appealing to any twenty-something male; but also I reckon my body is long overdue a health kick after the years of abuse I have subjected it to. So think of your sponsorship as not only a gift to charity, but also a gift to me. Your money will ensure I live a long, healthy life. And who doesn't want that????

Note that I am very aware that there is a good chance I will keel over during the run. The irony will not be lost on me as I am carried over the finish line crying with pain.
