Story
Dear Friend, Colleague, Fellow-cyclist
Last year I had a great experience by cycling from Luxembourg to Nice, passing via a few large hills and some generous sponsors contributed over GBP500 to the charity Room to Read as a consequence. If you would like to see my photos from this trip, click here: Luxembourg to Nice
Earlier this year I left Luxembourg for Dieppe in France; at approx 05:15 on the 8th of June I met some friends coming off the ferry and we cycled into Paris on that day. The not-so-relaxing weekend was spent returning to Lux, making about 950 kms in 5 days - according to the Guide Michelin but I would say that the actual figure was a bit higher for various reasons including but not limited to my own mistakes! In August 2012 I cycled from Luxembourg to Zug in Switzerland, which was about 450 kms; pictures are here: Luxembourg to Zug
Any donation that you can make will increase the chance that an under-priviledged child in one of the poorest parts of the world will have access to a basic amount of education. IMHO this seems to be one way to make a sustainable difference, no matter how limited in degree, to the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
"On your bike!"
Tim
