Story

Ex Cathedra is a registered charity (no.1004086).  Please give the gift of singing today!

Jeffrey Skidmore writes...

'I really value the loyalty and support of our audiences. By coming to our concerts you are already doing one of the most important things by providing audiences for ‘live’ music.  But, you might not know that box office income does not cover the costs of our concerts, and on its own the box office accounts for just 20% of the money we need this year to deliver our programme of concerts and recordings, to develop new repertoire through research and commissions, to support talented singers from our children’s choir right up to emerging professionals, and to get tens of thousands of children and adults singing in schools, communities and hospitals.

'That is why I am asking you to go one step further and become a member of our HOST OF ANGELS.

'Since launching the Host of Angels five years ago I have been greatly touched by the commitment and generosity shown by such a wide variety of individual donors. It is wonderful to know that our Angels share my belief in the power of music, and especially of singing, to enrich our lives and the lives of those around us.

'That support gives me the confidence in these uncertain times to pursue my ambitions for developing young talent and expanding the choral repertoire through research and commissioning.

'Please become an Angel today and make a real difference. Your donation enables us to give a voice to people of all ages and backgrounds in schools, communities and hospitals, to train and support the voices of the future, to develop new repertoire and to create memorable and inspiring concerts. In return we can offer you a range of benefits and a warm welcome.

'Thank you.'
