Hi All,

We are Jason, Steve and Darren all keen amateur cyclists from Exmouth in Devon who over the past two years have taken part in many sportives.

We wanted to tackle something a little more Epic so thought why not ride the 954 miles from John O Groats to Lands end and do it for Macmillan Cancer Support. All three of us have lost people from many different types of cancer over the years from lung, bowel, blood or bone to name a few, but the work MacMillian does is across the cancer spectrum.

This is why we choose MacMillian Cancer Support.

So the Exmouth JOGLE 2016 was born

We completed our mission on August 2nd in 10 days riding a total of 954 miles with our climbing total of 46,989 Ft that's one and a half times up Everest. We burned in excess of 60,000 calories during the ride. We were in the saddle for 59hrs 47mins in total and our average pace was 16mph over the whole 954 miles. Of the 10 days it took, 3 days had dry weather and the other 7 it rained, 3 of those were torrential rain with a cruel headwind. It was emotional at times and we each had days were we suffered and relied on the other two for morale BUT THE MOTIVATION WAS ALWAYS THERE.

FAILURE WAS NOT AN OPTION.
