This is the dream of one person, whose family was affected by cancer. 

At such a bleak time Macmillan Cancer Support leant him and his family a helping hand, after some time another member of their family had to face this terrible plight.

Yet again Macmillan was there – through their caring nurses, offering a helping hand and asking for nothing in return. Macmillan helped them and their family, as it does with all cancer patients, by providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support.

The help that Macmillan extended towards his family, not once but twice, touched Karim Virji.

That was when Karim decided that he would try to give something back to Macmillan with the help of people like us throughout the British Isles who have a giving and loving nature.

Karim has been working as a mechanic for the last 25 years and now is a well-established businessman in our community.

Living in the Croydon area with his family, Karim has a garage in the London Borough of Merton called K&S Motors.

He came up with the idea of driving from London in the UK to Dares Salaam in Tanzania in Africa.
