We completed our expedition on 22 April having spent 14 days in the mountains. Despite very poor (and potentially dangerous) snow conditions we succeeded in climbing 5 hitherto unclimbed peaks (to be ratified by the Kyryzstan mountain agency). They were all between 4700 and 4900 metres in height and offered varying degrees of technicality, with mixed and ice climbing as well as ski ascent. I climbed 4 of them. Although we didn't see a snow leopard, we did see plenty of recent tracks. The mountains and valleys of Kyrgyzstan are very beautiful and unspoilt and the whole trip was a fantastic experience.
