Story

Your support through donations would be much appreciated, if you can spare the time and the money.  Please note that all funds donated will be getting directed, through NI Hospice, to Northern Ireland Children's Hospice.

800 miles, 8 extremities, 8 days

We nailed Ireland's North, South, East, West and Centre, plus the highest mountain in each of the four provinces of Ireland, all with mountain-bikes, with all our gear for a week, all unsupported - that's 800 miles, plus the mountains, in 8 days (the bikes and gear went up the mountains too).

The extremities of Ireland are Mizen Head in Cork (actually Brow Head), Garraun Point in Dingle, Burr Point on Ards Peninsula, and Malin Head in Donegal, and Ireland's mid-point is just east of Ballymore, outside Athlone.

The mountains are Carauntoohil (1041m) in Kerry, Mweelrea (819m) in Mayo, Lugnaquilla (926m) in Wicklow, and Slieve Donard (852m) in County Down.

We started on Saturday 23 May on the south coast, and finally hit Malin Head on the north coast on Saturday 30 May.
