Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. My son Jonathon Le Galloudec was shot and seriously injured in Basra, Iraq on June 7th 2007. Amid a hail of bullets Rodney Wilson helped to pull my son out from under a lit street lamp where he would certainly have been an easy target for the sniper. Unfortunately Rodney was shot and killed. As a mother I feel that I owe a debt that can never truly be repaid. But as long as our family continues Rodney Wilson's name will never die. Because of the dedication and expertise of firstly the surgeons, nursing staff and other experts at Basra Field Hospital, Selly Oak Hospital Birmingham, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Stoke Mandeville National Spinal Unit at Aylesbury and Headley Court in Surrey my son is making excellent progress and has the opportunity of a good future.
