Last year I decided I wanted to raise money for the charity FAB. I had chosen FAB, because I was badly burned in a brewery related accident a few years back and I wanted to do something back for the children's support group.  They do an amazing job but rely on public donations to enable them to organise all the activities.

Last year’s event was a great success, when, thanks to all your donations and/or participation, we managed to raise over £3000. So I am organising the – what’s now known as The Bath Ales Biking Bonanza, again in the hope to beat this amount.

It will be setting off on Friday 19 June and the Bonanza will take place on Saturday 20 June 2009.

On the Friday morning, I'm setting out to walk past all the Bath Ales pubs: I'll be starting at The Wellington pub in Horfield, Bristol to walk all the way to Bath, via The Live & Let Live (Frampton Cotterell), the old brewery site, the new brewery at Warmley, The Swan (Swineford), The Hop Pole and finally The Salamander, both in Bath. And on the Saturday I will be starting at The Salamander and then past The Hop Pole, The Swan, the brewery at Warmley, back past The Swan on my way to The Bridge, The Merchants, The Eldon, The Hare on the Hill and finally arriving back at The Wellington.

On the Saturday Bath Ales are sponsoring me through the Biking Bonanza, so that families can get involved in raising money by getting on their bikes. At around Midday everyone will be gathered at the Brewery in Warmley, where there will be a great party atmosphere with delicious food, plenty of refreshments, live music and entertainment.
