Thank you for visiting the Faegre & Benson walk team's fundraising page.

We are walking to raise funds for Hackney Community Law Centre, which provides free legal advice to the local community in one of the country's most deprived boroughs.  The advice covers such areas as employment, immigration, housing and debt.  Without the Law Centre, many people in the local community would have no other means of obtaining legal advice.

As many of Faegre & Benson's lawyers provide pro bono help at the Law Centre on a regular basis, we are personally aware of the crucial service which it provides for its community and of the need for financial support.

The London Legal Walk is 10 km long (that's 6.25 miles in old money - far enough to appreciate having webbed feet if it rains the whole way) and passes rather appropriately through legal London.  There will be about 3,800 participants, including Judges, lawyers and law students, and it is hoped that over £200,000 will be raised for social welfare legal centres in London and the Home Counties.

We are pleased to walk to raise funds for this service and delighted to be joined by a team from the Law Centre itself.
