As many as four million Syrian children are in need of urgent humanitarian assistance.  Many of these children belong to refugee families who are now living in Lebanon. These Syrian refugee families need your help to bring food on the table and a shelter over their heads to lighten the day-to-day financial pressures they suffer on a daily basis.

From the 1 – 5 July, I am going to spend a total of £6.25 on my meals in order to feel the slightest pangs of hunger the Syrian refugee’s face and in turn fundraise for them.

The crisis in Syria has prompted the UN to launch the largest appeal in its history – where they are aiming to raise $5 billion USD for humanitarian aid to Syria. The UN estimates that more than 10 million Syrians (half the population) will need help by the end of 2013.

On the night of Shaame Ghareebah, Lady Zainab (A) gave solace to the hearts of the orphaned children by providing them food and warmth. Today, let us in Her (A) legacy be the ones who give even a little for Her  (A) people.
