Breaking News...We all made it Whitley Bay!!!!! A huge thank you for all the sponsorship and to everyone who helped out, all of this made what seemed impossible, possible.
Ever wondered what it would be like to cycle from Edinburgh to Whitley Bay in fancy dress? Well, we have. We've pondered this question so much in fact, that we've decided to go ahead and find out.
This journey totals a grueling 150 miles and we'll be completing it over the weekend of 15th/16th August 2009. Who's involved? The cyclists are...Jacob Ahlqvist, Emma Rankin, Emma King, Rob Winchester, Zoe Smolka, Caroline Bates, Brett Marmo & Fearghal Kelly.
Hopefully you'll agree that this is not a very normal activity to be undertaking of a weekend, and is therefore worthy of a contribution of your hard-earned pounds (plus the gift aid of course).
Any money raised will be donated to the Northern Centre for Cancer Care in memory of our dear friend Danny. Danny was an active outdoorsy kinda guy who loved a bit of fancy dress and so this trip would have been right up his street. The Centre looked after him, and so many others, extremely well and really does deserve your support.
