My story

Hello again.

Last year I cycled from Penistone to the Wirral in a day and it hurt - a lot!

That was obviously not hard enough so, this year I am doing the whole 215 miles coast to coast route along the Trans-Pennine Trail www.transpenninetrail.org.uk to try to raise money for the Marie Curie Cancer Care charity (see below).

I will be starting on 6th August from Hornsea reaching Penistone later that day. Day 2 Penistone to Liverpool. Day 3 Liverpool to Southport.

I will then be relaxing by cycling another 50ish miles to play a game of cricket for Caldy CC before collapsing in an undignified heap!

You can follow my training log via : http://www.eteamz.com/KexboroughCricketClub/news/index.cfm?cat=559976

*****************UPDATE 11/8/09********************************************

I completed the ride successfully on Friday 7th August covering a total of 228 miles I got lost few times and i will be posting a full account of my trip on the TPT website www.transpenninetrail.org.uk under "Your stories"

I didn't manage to do the extra mileage on the Saturday as I was incapable of sitting on a bike by that time, but I think I did enough.

Thanks to everybody who helped me prepare and carry out the trip and, of course, everyone who sponsored me to carry out this mad venture!!

Every pound raised will help Marie Curie to continue their work and remember no donation is too small!

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Marie Curie Cancer Care gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
