Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

A few of us ‘Fat Old Boys’ from Lichfield Rugby Club have belatedly decided to lose some weight!

There are eight of us participating in the weight-loss campaign and as our combined starting weight was somewhere close to a tonne, you can see that there is lots of potential, and you would think it should be quite easy!  Nevertheless, just to ensure that we are all suitably motivated we are also using the campaign to help the fund-raising efforts of The Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Unfortunately, a number of lads from the Rugby Club’s Mini-Junior Section have had reason to use the facilities at the hospital, and we would like to help to repay the hospital for the care and treatment they have all been given - by providing some additional funds for the excellent work that they do.

All of the money we raise is going to the hospital’s funds.

In addition to the money we are contributing ourselves from our weekly weight-loss fees (and the frequent fines for poor performance!) we are looking to raise a whole lot more - by holding raffles, auctions and enabling other kind-hearted individuals to contribute - either by buying raffle tickets or simply pledging some cash!

Our scheme is linked directly to hospital's charitable funds, so you can easily pledge your support, and donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us, as Birmingham Children's Hospital Charities get your money faster and, if you're a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

We know it’s a bit tough for some at the moment, and financially we may be under some pressure, however most of us do have our health - so if you can pledge your donation on line - however small, we would be extremely grateful.

Please sponsor us now, and many thanks in anticipation of your support!
