WheelPower
Sport has tremendous physical, psychological and social benefits for the participants, particularly young people. WheelPower provides and promotes opportunities for thousands of children and young adults with disabilities to participate in recreational and competitive wheelchair sport and improve their quality of life.

I know this time of year can get a bit tiresome on the charity giving front but please take a minute to read a plea from a "nearly" 30, crazy blonde girl with a desire to make a difference this year.............
I am doing a trek in Iceland in July with Vicki Jackson (fellow Danone colleague) for Wheelpower (a bit of background on Wheelpower below). And I
need to raise 2K by end of April. £2000 means so much to Wheelpower as it effectively provides one package - which means one wheelchair suitable for playing
sports in.
A dolly bird like myself with no make up or hair straighteners in the middle of Iceland trying to walk 8 hours + a day through snow covered
fields, in freezing conditions, trekking though ice cold streams up to my thighs is surely worth the money in itself :-) In fact I can hear you all laughing already!!!! I will be 100% out of my comfort zone but this is a challenge I fully intend to complete. Lets not even mention the toilet situation I'm having heart palpitations at the mere though of that!!!! And no shops, music OR PUBS.........dear lord how will I survive!:-)
