We work with churches, individuals and local organisations in communities worldwide, supporting people of all faiths and none to rise out of poverty. We help people survive disasters, deal with the impact of climate change, find shelter from conflict and have a voice in their communities.

Story

We (Mark Gotham and Patrick Dawkins) have abandoned all footwear for a WEEK from 14-20th May in order to raise money for Christian Aid (whose week is 13th-19th May).

We have no idea how much we might be able to raise but currently the
target is a quite reasonable £500 *UPDATE - it's been doubled to ONE THOUSAND POUNDS!*. The weather's not particularly great for this sort of thing and we will each be walking over gravel, cobbles, grass and general Oxford slime to lectures, rehearsals, concerts, tutorials, libraries and parties. So please sponsor us!

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also
the most efficient way to sponsor us: Christian Aid will receive your
money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be
added to your gift at no cost to you.

Just to clarify - Christian Aid is effectively secular despite its name and founding institutions - so please donate whatever your faith is/isn't!

Many thanks for your support!

Mark says: One year on. With exactly one year's worth of hair it is time for a new sacrifice. We firmly believe in this cause and the weather is hardly supportive so go on ... give us a bit of a boost!

Paddy says: What the hell...
