Story

"Hi my name is Olivia and I was born with a funny foot (clubfoot). I am now 3 years old and I love to run, jump and play with my friends. Please help my Daddy raise money to help children less fortunate than me." Olivia Grace Noblett

"Without proper treatment walking with an uncorrected clubfoot can be very painful and difficult, if not impossible." www.ponseti.info

MOST CHILDREN DO NOT GET PROPER TREATMENT. WE CAN HELP

Club foot is a serious problem in many developing countries. The majority of cases of clubfoot occur in these areas, about 80%, and there are high incidences of neglected clubfoot. Neglected clubfoot limits the prospects of those living in developing countries as they often are unable to walk without great pain and do not have many job opportunities or the ability to carry out many daily tasks. The Ponseti method is very cost effective and various healthcare provides can perform the treatment making the Ponseti method a practical option for eradicating club foot around the world.

MY STORY....

To reposition my "funny foot" I had a plaster cast changed weekly for about 6 weeks from my toes to the top of my thigh. After this I got a special pair of boots which are strapped together with a metal bar. I wore this full time for 3 months. Now I wear my special boots just at night and I will wear them every night until I am about 5 years.

DADDY'S CHALLENGE

"In May I hope to raise £970, a pound for every mile that I cycle on the Lands End to John O Groats challenge. To get fit for this challenge I started training regularly in November 2010. Riding about 4 times a week through the dark, cold and wet winter months. Follow my progress, see my face book page, search for Jonathan Noblett and click the feet first logo and request to be my friend."

"Please help children less fortunate than me. You can help them run and jump just like me!" Olivia Grace Noblett
