Story
We seek your support for an innovative pain management programme at St. Joseph's Hospice dedicated to helping people who are living with cancer and other serious illnesses.
The ‘Felix Kiernan Pain Prevention Programme’ helps people learn how to cope with emotional and physical pain through an outpatient group clinic, which provides a combination of education, psychological techniques, rehabilitation and medication management. Your support for this programme will help transform the quality of life for many people living with an advanced illness by empowering them to self-manage their pain and live actively with control and independence whenever possible.
Felix worked at St. Joseph's Hospice during his A levels, and his work there helped shape his career choice. His decision to pursue a career in oncology was influenced by this experience at St. Joseph’s.
Following Felix's tragic death, his family has decided to support the work of the hospice in Felix’s honour.
