<p><strong>What have I got myself into this time? </strong></p>

Swimming has been one of my main interests for about 20 years. I also want to help to raise money for charity. Now I have an opportunity to do that and I need your help <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>for this very meaningful cause.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-pagination: widow-orphan;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: &quot;PMingLiU&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;; mso-bidi-font-family: PMingLiU; mso-font-kerning: 0pt; mso-ansi-language: EN;">The Company I have been working for, JCB, has been raising money for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, Some of you may remember I did a parachute jump for the same charity.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-pagination: widow-orphan;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: &quot;PMingLiU&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;; mso-bidi-font-family: PMingLiU; mso-font-kerning: 0pt; mso-ansi-language: EN;">We have formed a JCB team to swim the equivalent length of the standard Channel Swim crossing from Shakespeare Beach, Dover to Cap Gris Nez, France on Sunday 11 March 2012. Whilst the actual distance in land miles for the Channel Swim is 21 miles, the true swimming distance (allowing for tides and shipping) is 22 miles (35.4 km) which for pool challenges is 1416 lengths of a standard 25m pool.</span></p>
