If you had asked me a few months ago what I knew about Marathon's I would have said they looked bigger when I was younger and if I would not recommend them for someone with a nut allergy (gag for the oldies!) But here I am, counting down the weeks until the big day, and looking for all the support I can get. If nothing else it should help squeeze me in to a tux later in the year (although the only things I seem to be shedding are tears at that advert for sponsoring a dog - torture!) I will be extremely grateful for the money you donate. It is for a great charity (Belfast Samaritans). They do an absolutely sterling job, and will probably be talking me down from the bridge round about mile 18 (hey even Jade Goody got that far!!) To show you how I am getting on I thought I would show you my best training shot. Lesson number one is always be hydrated! I will also accept comedy donations such as how many Paula's I can muster up, if the man in the diver outfit will beat me (he's a nightmare in training!), or simply if I will finish in time for work on Monday, Tuesday, etc.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Samaritans will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support. Ferg / Paddy O Banter
