Story
In October 2018 I will be travelling to Tanzania to climb Kilimanjaro - the world's 4th highest mountain at 5,895 metresl to raise vital funds for Alder Hey Children's Hospital.
Every year Alder Hey provides fantastic care, treatment, and support to 275,000 children all facing their own struggles and battles with a wide range of complex issues.
Their service, care, and dedication is second to none, and with your help we can raise more money to offer vital support to a children's hospital that is so heavily relied upon time and time again.
To get you to part with your hard-earned cash, I will spend a total of 10 days on the 4th highest mountain in the world with the aim to reach the dizzying summit of 5,895 metres, covering 56.5km (35.1 miles) to get there.
This will be no easy task, as I will be walking every day, camping every night, having basic washes, going to the toilet that will be a hole in the ground, and doing all of this with ever decreasing amounts of oxygen in temperatures from 27º to -29º!
Every penny of what you can donate will be put to the very best of use, from continued and incredible service and support to both the children and their families, to pioneering new research and medicines.
