Marie Curie provides care and support for people living with any terminal illness across the UK. Our nurses work night and day in people’s homes and our hospices offer specialist care. We also support people emotionally, provide practical information, and match them with trained volunteers.

Story

Thank you so much for visiting this site where you can donate to sponsor a daffodil bulb in memory of a loved one.

The Hyde Park Field of Hope was planted on Tuesday 31st October at 11am. Thank you so much to everyone who came along on the day to help with the planting. We planted 40,000 Daffodil bulbs in the green area next to Prince of Wales gate. The Field is going to be one of the largest in London, and should be in bloom in April. It is in memory of people affected by cancer, including those who have recently passed away and are very sadly missed.

My beautiful friend Acar was also sadly taken away from us by this dreadful disease eariler this year. We all miss him greatly. Family and friends are asked to come and remember him in a special memorial ceremony on the day.

My Uncle Tim was a great supporter of Marie Curie and got me involved with the charity some years ago, so i know he would be delighted with this lovely event.

You can donate in memory of either of them or indeed, any other loved one you may have lost. The daffodil bulbs will bloom for years to come so are a stunning and living reminder. Thank you again to all that came along on the day and help us plant.

All the money raised from the bulbs will go towards helping to pay for more Marie Curie Nurses to continue their amazing work caring for people who are terminally ill with cancer within their own homes. Thses nurses offer both practical and emotional care and support to the patient and their family.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Marie Curie Cancer Care will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.

Please donate generously.
Many thanks for your support. All my love
