I am raising money for Stonewall, the lesbian, gay and bisexual charity.  Being gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender is still seen as abnormal in this time, where it is more accepted than it was 20 years a go. People of the LGBT community are still picked on, taunted, harassed, and even killed for being who they are, and for who they love.
Having to deal with that as a teenager, or even as an adult can be hard for someone. They can become scared of going to school or college, or even to work or out of their home. They may even be scared to come out to people in fear of what others may say.
As a lesbian myself, I have dealt with my share of problems with being gay, from harassment to even fear of holding my partners hand in public because I'm scared of what people may say or do.

It isn't something that should be happening, we should be as equal as a heterosexual couple, through rights of marriage, or even just being able to feel confident in public with their other half.
Stonewall are a charity that help towards this, with their fundraising in the UK and internationally, it has been around for years fighting for a cause that still surrounds us.

Something my friends know about me is that I have more fears that I can count. One fear is heights, so I thought I would combine the two subjects and start raising money for Stonewall, a lesbian, gay, and bisexual charity, by skydiving. So hopefully if i don’t die of shock, I will be able to raise money for a good cause :)

Everyone knows or has heard of stonewall, or even just their t-shirts.

I want to raise money by facing my fear, so that people of the LGBT community dont have to face the fear of homophobia, and be in fear of being who they are.
