Story
Hi everyone!
Just a quick note to let you all know that on the 9th June, Whilst everyone will be celebrating the start of the world cup by having a pint down the pub. Please think of me!
, As I will be trekking through at 13000 feet.
Please note that this will not be a holiday! If you know me, you’ll know just how terrified I am of flying I am!! The scariest bit will be having to take 6 planes in total!
The trek will be in memory of my dad, Ron Franklin. He died from stomach cancer 10 years ago this year, losing him affected everyone who knew him and left a massive hole in all of our lives, sometimes its hard to realise the impact someone has on your life until they are actually gone.
All I want is to give other families a chance to be together and share all the things that we never got a chance too with my dad.
I’m sure many of you have known someone who has been affected by cancer, if you would like to donate in memory of one of your loved ones, please feel free.
Just to let you know, the full cost of the trek has been paid for by me so every penny that you give will go straight to Cancer Research .
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Cancer Research will receive your money electronically and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.
Please give ANYTHING you can! Every single penny will help and will be gratefully received.
Thanks everyone and wish me luck!
Lemarie.
