My story
As part of the now internationally renowned Mongol Rally run by The Adventurists, we will be driving 10,000 miles to Mongolia, through 10 countries, 8 times zones, in one ill-equipped car.
The rally itself is a charity event with each team donating a minimum of £1,000. But in 2010 one team donated £14,000; in 2007 one team donated £30,000 and in 2009 the largest single donation by any team of £54,000 was made. So for the 2011 rally, we want to donate as much as possible with our first target being £1,000.
The money isn’t merely squandered; it is being raised for a fantastic cause, Martin House. Martin House Hospice care for Children and Young People with progressive life limiting illnesses, and provide support to their families. So please dig deep and donate, no matter how small the amount because if everyone donates a small amount, collectively you will all make a massive difference. On the other hand if you all donate a bit more than that then you’ll make an even bigger difference!
