2010 Berlin Marathon · 26 September 2010 ·

Able Child works toward a world in which no child with a disability is left behind. We support a network of organisations in Africa to protect, educate and amplify the voices of children and young people with disabilities, so they are able to thrive.

Story

History is full of great trilogies - Back To The Future, Queen's Greatest Hits, The Hitch Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy - no story is complete unless it's in 3 parts.
So, running 2 marathons in 2010 isn't enough, there has to be a third. For the first time I'll be venturing overseas to take part in a race. From what I've heard, the Berlin Marathon is an amazing event; 40,000 people running the fastest, flattest marathon course in the world. I didn't have the best of experiences during London and Edinburgh earlier in the year so now I'm determined to give it everything I've got left for the final marathon of 2010.
As before, I'd like to try and raise a bit of money for my charity, AbleChildAfrica. This will be the last marathon I take part in for a couple of years at least, so if you'd like to donate one last fiver you know how grateful I'll be.
It's nearly all over, nearly time for a rest. Thank you to everyone who's supported and sponsored me throughout the year, I appreciate it so much.
John
