Thank you to all our generous friends and relatives who sponsored us for the Fun Run for Reigate & Redhill YMCA.
The Fun Run took place on Sunday 4 May. It was a a great event, with a huge number of runners of all ages.
Ariel and Calypso covered themselves in glory, coming 1st and 2nd in the Under 16 Girls' Race, with the excellent times of 5 mins 32 seconds and 5 mins 34 seconds. We are very proud of them.
Lola, Arthur and I ran our miles in 7 mins 26 seconds, 8 mins 13 and 8 mins 19 respectively.
As we managed to exceed our initial sponsorship target, I have raised the target in case anyone wants to sponsor us at this stage.
This is a great cause. The YMCA runs excellent services for local people, including the Yippee Club, which provides play and leisure for disabled children and respite for their families. Our friend Dominic Bance goes to the Yippee Club so it is a cause close to our hearts.
