This April, The Garnier FindingLife Expedition to Africa is supporting Moving Mountains and the community of Solio in Kenya. The community of Solio has faced tremendous challenges over the past many years and are currently rebuilding their lives. They have struggled to exist. This year we are supporting the work of the Moving Mountains Trust who thankfully stepped in and began helping these people. Their vision is one that enables the people of Solio to eventually support themselves. We are asking for all of you to help us make a difference in their lives. There is much to be done and all of us have the potential to make a tangible difference that we can watch unfold before our eyes. 6 high school students chosen from across Ottawa and the surrounding areas will travel to Kenya this April, team up with 6 Kenyan students, support the community in Solio, build a classroom, go on a Safari and challenge themselves to climb to the 2nd highest point in Africa - Mt. Kenya. All in the name of charity. Building on the success of Expedition 2010 to Mt. Everest, thousands will follow online back home via social media sites, satellite technology, video conferencing, webisodes, blogs and more. Dans les dernières nombreuses années, la communauté de Solio a dû faire face à des défis magistraux et sont en train de rebâtir leur vie. Ils se sont acharnés à survivre pour leur existence. Cette année, nous donnons notre appui au travail de Moving Mountains Trust qui, heureusement, s'est impliquée et a commencé à aider ces gens. Nous vous demandons, à tous, de nous aider à faire une différence dans leur vie. Six étudiants d'écoles secondaires choisis soigneusement dans la région d'Ottawa et ses alentours voyageront au Kenya en avril prochain, s'associeront à six étudiants kéniens, viendront en aide à la communauté de Solio, construirons des salles de classe, participeront à un safari et surmonteront le défi d'escalader le deuxième mont le plus élevé en Afrique, le Mont Kenya.
