Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The week after I ran the London Marathon this year, my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer. A few friends suggested that I run a marathon to raise money. Having just completed one for "fun" I felt that this was too easy. After a couple of weeks of pondering what to do, Montpezat or Bust! was conceived.

I plan to run the equivalent distance form Sandhurst to Montpezat in France (where my mum and dad live) which is 692 miles in (mainly) batches of marathons. This equates to 24 full marathons and a few other events. The first one will be on 22nd July 2011 and the final one will be the London Marathon 2012. This gives me 9 months!

Some of these events are organised and some, I will be organising myself.

I don't plan to set any personal bests, it will all be slow and slower. My aim is to finish the distance without picking up any injuries (other than the obligatory blisters and lost toenails).

Currently, I will be doing the following:

22nd July: St Michael's Primary School. I will run around the field for 26.2 miles. The children will be joining me for 10 minutes at a time and they will be sponsored for running.
