Flora London Marathon 2008 · 13 April 2008 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

I survived leukaemia, thousands every year aren't as lucky. I was diagnosed with a rare form of leukaemia in July 2006. If I had got it five years ago, I'd have almost certainly died within days, I didn't because of the discovery of treatments and drugs, that were partly funded by Leukaemia Research. My timings won't be particarly impressive, but if you'd seen me in St Barts from July 2006 to December 2006, you'd know that the achievement can't be measured in miles per hour. Please give what you can, and in doing so you will help give others the chance to live. We raised over £3000 on our big quiz night in Tenterden, Covent Garden and Harrogate on the 27th March. Since then I've doubled my target to £10,000. Your generosity is overwhelming, many, many thanks for your support.
