Hello and welcome to our Wedding page. (We can just about use the word without laughing now.) We really didn't expect to get married, but now that we are we want everyone to have as much fun as possible at the wedding before we ride off into the sunset over Lake Geneva.
We'd also like to help the Medical Foundation For The Care Of Victims Of Torture who do such important work with the most vulnerable and traumatised men, women and children. With the dispersal of asylum seekers to Glasgow came not only Fiona's job but a Medical Foundation centre in Glasgow. The MF seems a fitting place for any goodwill quids you might have been sending our way. It would be nice to not need charities - as someone said, they looked forward to the day when folk have to go round pubs with collecting tins to save up for nuclear missiles, and the government gave all the socially useful charities all the money they needed...meanwhile the MF will put any money raised to much better use than us (please check their website, http://www.torturecare.org.uk/ and in particular http://www.torturecare.org.uk/about/client_stories to really get a sense of who the Medical Foundation is helping). Our wedding is on Friday the 30th of May (we have a wedding website too). N.B. If you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. Many thanks for your support.
