BUPA Great South Run 2008 · 26 October 2008 ·

Africa Educational Trust provides education to children and adults affected by conflict and poverty in Eastern Africa. Reaching over a quarter of a million people every year, we work to build better education systems and give learning opportunities to people who missed the chance to go to school.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. On the 26th October I will be running in the Great South Run to raise money for Africa Educational Trust. It is quite a while since I ran anywhere near that far so it will mean some serious training!

More than 27 million children and young people in countries affected by conflict will never get the chance to go to school. This means that a whole generation of professionals such as doctors, teachers and engineers who play an essential role in a country's redevelopment will be missing.

Over 750,000 children and young people have benefited from AET’s support since its founding in 1958. Your sponsorship will allow this important work to continue.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Africa Educational Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
