Fire Fighters Charity provides care and support to the UK’s fire family. It helps with any health and wellbeing challenges firefighters, control staff, and everyone working in – or retired from – the UK’s fire services, as well as their families, may face - during and after service

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

5 parents from St Bernadette's RC Primary School and 7 firefighters from Heywood Fire Station are cycling the 150 mile Coast to Coast (c2c) to raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity and St. Bernadette's RC Primary School PTA.

The c2c which starts in the former coal mining and industrial lands of West Cumbria, travels through rugged terrain of the northern Lake District and heads into Keswick before passing through Penrith. It then starts a 10-mile climb up to Hartside and onto the challenging Northern Pennines - the roof of England. There it follows an undulating ride as the C2C passes through old lead mining villages, such as Nenthead and Rookhope, and down into the Durham Dales before reaching the North Sea at Sunderland.

75% of the money we raise will go to the Fire Fighters Charity and 25% to St. Bernadette's RC Primary School PTA.
