The 2nd annual Fireflies West ride, October 9-14th 2009, is 6 days of cycling from San Francisco to LA, 550 miles down the California coast, all in aid of the Leuka charity. (please watch the video at bottom of the Fireflies West Facebook page).
The Leuka Charity supports Hammersmith Hospital in London, which is both a world renowned treatment hospital and a cutting edge research facility for Leukaemia. This ride is a spin-off of the main Fireflies ride (from Geneva-Cannes) which takes place in June every year in the French Alps.
