Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I should be doing my bit and getting about and sticking my sponsor forms under the noses of those that I know, but hey...I'll only end up leaving it till the last minute and forgetting stuff.

As most of you know, Dad has been organising charity runs for years on the vintage bikes. Well, now's the time for me to do it. Over the previous 4 runs, he has earned £75,000 in sponsorship for various charities. So he's hoping to hit £25,000 for this run alone, to make it £100,000 total. However times are hard, so it's looking doubtful. So Please feel not only to donate but to pass a linky about this page to anyone you know who may be interested in donating.

A group of about 50 people on about 40 bikes are tackling the final End to End Dad is organising. We will be raising money for the Parkinsons Disease Society.

But as usual, I have to go and do it all a bit differently. So I'm doing it both ways, on two bikes-neat trick hey?

Naomi and I are going up on our Kawasaki Z750 and taking 3 days to get there. Once we get to Inverness Naomi flies back to Bristol to have Chloe on half term, while I ride south on the red Moto Morini that dates back to 1980.

The travel plan is as follows:
Wednesday 20th May, leave Swindon 3-4 days steady riding (honest!!)
Sunday 24th May, leave Wick, head North to John o'Groats, then down to Inverness
Monday 25th leave Inverness to Helensburgh
Tuesday 26th Helensburgh to Windermere
Wednesday 27th Day Off, stay in Windermere
Thursday 28th Windermere to Stafford
Friday 29th Stafford to Taunton
Saturday 30th Taunton-Lands End
Sunday 31st Lands End to Swindon

In total I expect to cover approximately 2000 miles in 12 days.

Although I am treating this primarily as a holiday, and a chance to ride with Pops on his final End to End, I would like to raise as much as possible to help him get as close to that £100,000 total as possible.

Thanks for donating whatever you can.

Cheers

Fish
