My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
MAY 2012: As our final fundraising event wasa Charity Curry and Quiz night. Which started off with one of our team (photos are in the gallery) being sponsored to have his legs waxed.
JANUARY 2012: Rolls Royce project teams in Derby and Singapore are participating in a Fit for Launch challenge from 2 January to 26 March 2012.
The two teams are to walk the distance between Singapore and Derby (approximately 7,000 miles) measuring daily steps with a pedometer.
The challenge is to be the first team to walk the distance between Singapore and Derby, and be the team to raise the most money for charity.
The Derby team will be raising money for a charity called KidsOut who have been helping disadvantaged children since 1999. They have five main programmes which include organising days out to theme parks, zoos etc, coordinating toy boxes, funding Multimedia Outreach vans, providing sensory learning opportunities and helping with English language needs.
