The 2011 Bike Challenge is supporting a local charity - The Poole Hospital Charity - which fundraises for all the wards and departments within Poole Hospital.  However, the main is the Maternity Unit Equipment Appeal which includes the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) cares for babies requiring special care, whether it is due to pre-maturity, illness at delivery or health problems during the baby’s stay at hospital.

The Unit currently has 20 cots with 4 of those being intensive care cots, 6 high dependency cots and 10 special care cots.

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
