myself and very good friend alan perks are going to try and visit all the stations on the underground systems of the following cities, london, paris, brussels, berlin and viena !!!!

we are raising money for CANCER RESEARCH UK, in memory of my late wife angie, who died in february this year.

this will involve approx 160 different trains,880 stations ( hopefully ) and will take about 50 hrs in total, plus all the travelling between the 5 cities. this will take place from 27 th oct to 31st oct 2008.

please sponser us and help raise as much money as possible to help cancer research uk.

my wife first had breast cancer at the age of 34, she recovered and had ten years free from the disease. sadly it came back after ten years. she had lots of different treatments, some of which were not very pleasant. she fought bravely for approx 16 months, but finally succumbed to this nasty disease at the end of feb this year.

she leaves 3 grown up children and two grandchildren,who were her whole life !!

WELL WE DID IT ALL ! 883 STATIONS OVER THE 5 DAYS. THE FIRST 2 DAYS (LONDON AND PARIS )WERE THE HARDEST, ONLY ABOUT 3 HRS SLEEP BETWEEN SUNDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHTS !! THEN IT GOT A LITTLE EASIER.
