Rainbow Trust Children's Charity supports families who have a child with a serious or life-threatening illness. Rainbow Trust pairs each family with an expert Family Support Worker who enables them to make the most of time together, giving them practical and emotional support.

Story

This summer myself & four friends will be raising money for the Durham branch of the Rainbow Trust Children's Charity. The Rainbow Trust provides specialised support to children and their families to deal with life threatening & terminal illness.

As keen cyclists, our plan is to ride 300 miles from Amsterdam to Calais. This means crossing three countries, Holland, Belgium & France in six days. Unusually, we will be riding all the way on single-speed fixed wheel bikes. This is cycling at its most basic, riding the original form of the chain driven bicycle dating from 1885. It will mean that our legs will not have any respite between stops without any freewheeling.

Please donate generously towards The Rainbow Trust's excellent cause.
