Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
The Santander flame relay is travelling across the UK between 10 – 18 September. The reason for the relay is to raise funds for Marie Curie and support them in the fantastic care they give to both patients and family suffering with cancer and other illnesses.
The 15 strong Santander and SGF & HR team will be getting on our bicycles on the 17th September 2012 to take the “flame” from Santander House, Carlton Park, Leicester to the Santander Branch, The Bullring, Birmingham. This is a 42 mile ride, which will hopefully take us approximately 4 and half hours to complete.
As well as getting on our bicycles for the 17th September SGF will also have a team who will take the "flame" from the Santander Branch, The Bullring, Birmingham to Santander House, Central Milton Keynes on the 18th September. This will be completed by teams in decorated cars and fancy dress who will have the task of stopping at locations that spell out Marie Curie on the way, collecting more donations from passers by along the way. Look out for the pictures!
All the money that we raise will be matched by Santander and will be invested in carers who support patients and their families in their times of need.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
We need your support and hopefully you will sponsor us to support us on this fantastic event.
Thanks in advance.
