On Sat 26th / Sun 27th July 2008, the seven of us from Flamingo UK’s Commercial team are taking on the challenge to summit the British ‘3 Peaks’ – the highest peaks to be found in England, Scotland & Wales – all three of them in 24 hours.

In taking on and hopefully completing this challenge we’re aiming to raise £2750+ for the British / International Red Cross. Among it’s many other projects, the Red Cross have been, and still are, working tirelessly to aid the relief effort in Kenya – home to some of our supply partners. This money will go a long way in topping up the coffers of the Red Cross and ensuring that they are able to continue aiding for many more years to come, not just in Kenya but across the globe.

Our adventure will start on the Saturday afternoon at the foot of Ben Nevis (4406ft) in Scotland, take us overnight to Scafell Pike (3206ft) in England and finish at the base of Snowdon (3560ft) in Wales on the Sunday afternoon. On completion of the challenge we will have hiked and climbed for around 14 hours and in between, our support team will have driven close to 500 miles getting us from one peak to the next.
