Story
Flo; Hello potential sponsors, this blog will tell you all you need to know about why Robin and myself are running the Berlin Marathon to raise money for Penny Brohn Cancer Care
In 1995 my Aunt Caroline died after a 3 year battle with Breast Cancer and ever since ive always wanted to raise money for Charities that help those involved with this horrible disease. By taking part in the Berlin Marathon for Penny Brohn Cancer Care i feel it is the perfect way to help those who suffer from cancer.
Penny Brohn Cancer deal with people everyday affected by cancer whether it is after being diagnosed or if it is someone close to you with the disease. Penny Brohn offer a range of treatments and support to help you through it and know that it is not only a physical battle but also a mental one and offer an advice and support to help anyone.
So please give what you can as Robin and I run the 26.2 miles through Berlin and help us raise money.
Many thanks :)
Rob; Ever since mum lost her fight with breast cancer in late 2006 I've wanted to join the fight against one of the biggest killers in the world today and help in whatever way I could. Through running the marathon on September 28th and raising money for Penny Brohn Cancer Care the charity can continue to help others less fortunate who have been diagnosed with cancer.
Every year the charity provides care to around 25,000 cancer patients and their families – entirely free of charge, so donations and fundraisers are what the charity really need.
So please, give genorously and help this good cause as me and flo run 26.2 miles in Berln.
All the best.
