Rugby Floodlights Appeal

Gentlemen, Ladies, hi,

What an event the Real Varsity match was!  A 3000 sell out crowd, a fantastic 1000 seat stand sitting right over the pitch, great music and St Patrick's day to help the students get into the right mood! Loughborough won. We also won the BUSA Championship and the BUSA 2nd team Championship, all for the second year running. The freshers beat England U18 and all is looking rosy for the season to come.

We kick off the new term with a match against Saracens.. under lights! England are again using us as their training base and the new squad has set a scorching pace in winning all their pre-season matches including Nuneaton [National 2].

The success of our appeal has been applauded across the campus. The momentum generated by our students, staff and alumni inspired one of our sponsors to underwrite the cost of the floodlights in order to get them up in time for the Real Varsity Match. Our immense thanks go to him. We still have a huge challenge finish off the appeal. We still have £30000 to raise.  

To those within the club who haven't yet donated. Now is the time! every penny counts. To our alumni and friends of the club. please contribute generously.
