Doctors Worldwide Appeal/Locum-athon
Doctors Worldwide is a medical relief organisation based in the UK. We help to establish medical facilities around the world, supported by UK doctors. Below is a description of our current operation to help in Pakistan.
We are working Pir Sabaq, in Nowshera district serving an estimated population of 100,000. We are running the only fixed health service in the area, as well as mobile clinics and food distribution, with plans to expand operations further.
We are desperate need of donations to continue the relief work, please donate generously.
We are also doing a locum-athon where healthcare professionals do a locum for a day and contribute all or half the money to Doctors Worldwide. The locums must be organised by the healthcare professional themselves. If you are donating from doing a locum, please mark your donation as locum-athon. Non-healthcare professionals can also contribute, for e.g. a teacher doing private tuition/cake sale/etc.
The running costs:
£1 = cost per patient
£300 = cost of the clinic/day
£1 = a family food parcel
ALL DONATIONS WILL BE SOLELY USED IN
PAKISTAN TO HELP WITH THE PROJECT.
