Story

WELL ITS ALL OVER, I DID IT, ONE MORE THING TO CROSS OF THE LIST !!

MANY MANY THANKS TO ALL THOSE WHO SUPPORTED ME THROUGH THE MANY MONTHS OF WINTER TRAINING, ESPECIALLY PENNY WHO I DROVE MAD WITH MY INCESANT TALKING ABOUT DIET, TIMES, SLEEP, CLOTHING, RUNNING SHOES, INJURIES ETC ETC BUT WHO SAW ME THROUGH TO THE END ON THE DAY. THANK YOU.

NOW IT IS ALL OVER I FEEL PRIVILEGED TO HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO COMPETE WITH MANY OTHERS IN THEIR SUBURBAN EVEREST, JUST BECAUSE.....  WE ALL CAN

THANKS AGAIN TO ALL THOSE WHO SUPPORTED ME

ITS NOT TO LATE TO MAKE A DONATION

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes five years ago , am 6' 8" tall  106 Kg and am 49 years old, so I dont exactly fit the ideal runners profile! hense MY SUBURBAN EVEREST.

My appeal to you is that I do not want anyone that has diabetes to fall for any of the horrendous long term complications, for example blindness which affects far to many folks.

so how can you help?

£15  could help us identify more of the genetic factors in childhood diabetes.

£25  could help towards our campaign to ensure that all people with diabetes are regularly checked for retinopathy

£50  could help us fund more research into the causes of retinopathy

£100  could help us undertake further research into laser surgery to stop retinopathy developing

So I promise to finish the London Marathon will you promise to help me.

With your support we shall reach my target of £3000

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Diabetes UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
